Since its inception in 1927, Piper Aircraft has driven the market by providing a perfect balance of function and value. Piper aircraft have the horsepower to get you where you’re going as well as features like advanced sound proofing, cabins and seating designed with passenger comfort in mind. But the passenger experience is not Piper’s only focus. Piper is also designed for the pilot.  From a single-engine Warrior to a business class Matrix, pilots can expect a seamless progression of ownership.

Matt Gabbard, CFII, our in-house ferry pilot shares how he uses the PAVE tool.

From display and classified ads to online listings, website updates and e-marketing, Matt gets each plane the attention it needs to sell. Matt also takes and edits photographs and videos of aircraft for sale. Matt uses his skills as a CFII to ferry aircraft, provide occasional customer training and to train AirMart employees who are working toward their private pilot's licenses.

I had the recent pleasure of delivering a Piper Archer II to a small airport north of Philadelphia. The trip was uneventful except for the usual re-routing I received when I approached the north side of the Philly Class B airspace. The fact that it was beautiful, clear weather and the airplane was equipped with a Garmin GNS430 GPS made for stress-free navigating in spite of the re-routing.

One aspect that improves safety in aviation is knowledge. I’m not talking about philosophical insights or political views, of course, but the cold, hard facts that can and do affect the outcome of a flight. Plenty of facts are available to pilots nowadays, more than any time in the 110 plus years of powered flight. Thanks to the internet and satellites, we have just about everything at our disposal to become fully educated before we take to the skies.
