Local Love: Keeneland

A National Historic Landmark and horse racing icon of the Bluegrass, Keeneland is a destination worthy of your travel itinerary this spring.  From its beautifully landscaped grounds (which are open to the public every day) to its spectacular racing excitement and premier thoroughbred auction house, Keeneland is a place like no other.

For more than 75 years, Keeneland has been welcoming thoroughbred owners, jockeys and fans alike to its idyllic surroundings. But there’s more to Keeneland than its beauty and race meets. Keeneland’s grounds also feature a state-of-the-art Library, which houses thousands of racing-related books and journals, photographic negatives, and other priceless collections. It is also a favorite destination for weddings and corporate events and is the home of the Run The Bluegrass Half Marathon.

The AirMart staff has the privilege of seeing Keeneland across the KLEX runway from our office windows every day. It’s a proud part of our Kentucky heritage that we would love to share with you. In fact, if you are a Cirrus owner, we hope that you will join us for our first COPA event which begins on April 25th, the last racing day of Keeneland’s Spring Meet. The itinerary for this event can be found on the COPA registration site here.

Even if you are not a Cirrus owner, we invite you to experience the gracious beauty and pageantry of The Horse Capital of the World. Stop in and say hello if you do. We may have a few pony picks for you, not to mention some great aircraft for sale.
